I bought this book last night and browsed through it. I really liked the way it present the useful information. It provides very practical solutions to common problems you find when you develop IOS apps. All the topics are organized in to very short Tutorial style sections. The best thing i love about these is that it provides several different ways you can resolve the problem. It gives you the Apple developer guide links for the apple suggested solutions and one or 2 other ways you can resolve the issue using other third party libraries. All the sample code can be found at Github, which is really easy if you wanna grab the code easily without typing yourself. Overall, this is a really good and practical book that you can use as a solutions reference.Product details

This book could be useful if you are just starting out. However if you have been doing IOS for for a while (2+ years), you will gain nothing from it.
I like the style of presenting solutions in code snippets targeted at common problems. But like I said most experienced IOS developers already know how to deal with these problems.
I wish there were more problems that were less known.
Some of the topics in the book are very unique and practical.
I have been developing for iOS for a few years. If you also spent some time writing apps, you may find say half of the topics in the books are the issues that you have dealt with. And the solutions in the book are exactly the same or better ones that you used. At least I felt that way.
I could have saved a lot of time doing research and comparing answers on Google if I have had this book. Examples like how to handle keyboard show and hide, fit content of a TextView, and custom fonts, etc. are very subtle tricks. But it is exactly for the reason of having those subtle detail done well in your apps which makes your apps stand out from millions of the others in the App .
